The FFPD (Forestry, Furnishing & Building Products Manufacturing Division), soon to become the CFMEU Manufacturing Division following an amalgamation with the Textile Clothing and Footwear Union of Australia (TCFUA), is looking for an experienced National Industrial Officer to provide industrial advice and advocacy, support negotiations, disputes and campaigns, prepare and present legal cases and submissions and other industrial/legal work.
The successful applicant will have relevant qualifications and experience in labour law and industrial relations, advocacy within the Fair Work Commission and other courts and tribunals, strong communication skills, and the ability to prioritise and set and meet time-lines under pressure; flexibility is key.
Salary range is $85,000 to $120,000 p.a. plus 15% superannuation, 5 weeks annual leave and 13 RDOs (package negotiable depending on experience & relevance of existing skills).
To apply for this position you must hold a current Victorian Legal Practising Certificate, or be eligible for one, and have at least three years post-admission experience.
The position is a full-time, ongoing role based in Melbourne, and is subject to a probation period.
