“Looking after workers doesn’t stop at the site gate” said CFMEU ACT Secretary, Dean Hall, “that’s why through our Children’s Healthcare Trust we are determined to raise vital funds for sick kids”

“We’ve always said, ‘your family is our family’ and this is one of the practical ways we can show that”

In the lead up to Good Friday, CFMEU members will be holding BBQs on ACT construction sites, as well as selling flags to hang from cranes.

“Through a partnership with The Tradies club, we will raise at least $10,000 for the kids’ hospital this year”

“Sometimes the day to day of industrial relations negotiations and campaigning needs to be set aside for a moment so that we can focus on something like this small but important way we can give back to our community” Mr. Hall said.

The Chief Minister, Andrew Barr MLA, will ceremonially hoist the CFMEU Good Friday Appeal flag to kick off the fundraising drive.
